Dear Band Director,

We are excited to invite you and your band to the 39th Annual Francis Howell Marching Invitational on Saturday, October 26, 2019. The event will be held, rain or shine, at Francis Howell High School on the all-weather turf field inside Viking Stadium. Our competition will use a prelims/finals format, and the event will be scored using Mid-America Marching Consortium sheets.

Band Classification: For preliminary competition, we plan to place bands in three classes based on band size.  Bands may opt to play in a larger class in the preliminary round. Please let us know in advance if you’d like to compete in a larger class. We plan on ten bands for finals competition made up of the class winners and top seven scores regardless of class. Performance order in the preliminary round is determined by registration date, so bands from all classes will perform throughout the day.

20% - Music Performance Individual
20% - Visual General Effect
10% - Visual Performance Ensemble
10% - Visual Performance Individual

Awards: In prelims, trophies will be presented to the top 3 bands in each class and also for Outstanding Music, Outstanding Visual & Outstanding General Effect. In finals, trophies will be presented for 1st – 5th place, plaques for 6th – 10th place, and trophies for Outstanding Music, Outstanding Visual & Outstanding General Effect.

Registration: Event information and registration is available on Midwest Marching - www.midwestmarching.com.  An early registration discount is offered for all registrations received by May 31st. Payment is not due until 8/31/2019, so register now to secure your performance time and take advantage of the early registration discount. The registration form may also be accessed here

Francis Howell High School is conveniently located 1.5 miles off I64 at 7001 S Missouri 94, St Charles, MO 63304.  Registrants will be asked to provide additional information as the 2019 season begins, and additional event information including parking, check-in, warm-ups, etc. will be provided in September.
