The Viking Band Boosters are a not-for-profit (501c3) organization whose mission is to serve the band program. Our intention is to support quality music programs through which we believe students experience positive personal growth including opportunities to develop high self-esteem, respect, responsibility, and leadership.
If you are a parent of a child involved in the band program, you are a band booster. All boosters are welcome and encouraged to come to the meetings. Planning events, information about fundraisers and performances, and discussion about upcoming issues are all part of the agenda for each meeting.
Your support is what sustains the band program and gives opportunities to our students.
We supplement the limited funds that are allocated to the band budget in order to enhance the educational experience of our students. The best thing you can do is to volunteer. There is a volunteer opportunity to suit everyone's time schedule and interests. It takes an army of volunteers to make things run smoothly for the band and although they won’t admit it, your kids actually like having their parents involved in some band activities!
